A ReMaP™ assessment is composed of four components: the products of interest, the geographic region selected,  the industry segments for the products selected and a model. The  Product-Industry Model is the basis of the ReMaP™ methodology. It pulls product market data, geographic and demographic information, and detailed industry segmentation together to arrive at the ReMaP™ deliverable.

 

National Market Size

The national market data used in the ReMaP™ program is sourced from the Global Automation Research PI&A Market Database (Market Database). The annual market size, forecasted growth, and region (global) and industry segmentation in the Market Database are updated annually. Industry Segmentation

Most of the demographic data used reports using six-digit NAICS codes. The ten industry segments are constructed of the appropriate grouping of the NAICS codes.

 

Demographic Data

The ReMaP™ program is a statistically-based analysis of sub-national region market data. The program utilizes annual industrial demographic information that provides information at the 3-digit zip code level for each of the ten industry segments. A number of databases and information are used in the ReMaP™ program such as Bureau of Census Business Characteristics, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Department of Commerce, DOE-Energy Information Administration, and several industry-specific data bases. The data used includes actual surveys of industry or region or statistical sampling on an annual basis.
